A Blue Devil, a Trojan, and an Eagle: Thornton spent his freshman year at Duke University before transferring to the University of Southern California to complete his undergraduate career; he then became a graduate transfer at BC.
Before BC: Thornton was listed as a five-star prospect coming out of high school at Findlay Prep.
