Take Ten: Alexie Guay

Freshman Alexie Guay will look to utilize her tenacity to help Boston College women’s hockey take flight in her first season in the maroon and gold. Learn more about the defensewoman here.

Hometown: Magog, Quebec

Position: Defense

Previous Team: She played for the North American Hockey Academy in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League for the 2018-2019 season.

Before BC: Guay was a two-time member of Canada’s Under-18 National Team.

Taking Charge: With her time as an assistant coach, Guay helped in leading the gold medal-winning squad at the 2019 IIHF Under-18 Championships in Japan.

Proving Herself: Guay was invited to the National Women’s Development Team Selection Camp in 2019.

In The Clutch: At the 2018 Under-18 Summer Series against the U.S., Guay had two assists in the semifinals and then added one goal and two assists to help bring home the bronze medal.

Scoring Machine: While playing for the North American Hockey Academy in the PWHL in 2018-19, Guay skated in 58 games, netting 13 goals and 45 assists for 58 points.

Playing With Olympians: Guay played her prep hockey season at Stanstead College under Canadian Olympian Sarah Vaillancourt.
