Boston Calling Launches New Third Stage, Announces Food and Drink Lineup

Boston Calling just got bigger. The popular biannual music festival in the heart of Boston recently announced a new third stage, designed to celebrate local comedians and up-and-coming bands.

The new stage will make its debut on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, featuring a total of five comedians and four bands. It will be hosted by Lamont Price, a Comedy Central “Comedian to Watch,” and includes local comics Ken Reid, Sean Sullivan, Orlando Baxter, and Kelly McFarland. Black Beach, Nemes, Lady Pills, and These Wild Plans comprise the bands who will perform on the third stage.

For the lucky festival-goers eagerly awaiting the event—whether for the new third stage or to see main stage performers such as Sufjan Stevens, Vince Staples, and Sia—Boston Calling announced the food and drink lineup for the weekend. The newcomers include Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Firefly’s BBQ, Zinneken’s Belgian Waffles, CopperDome Crust, and Whole Heart Provisions. They will be joined by returners Tasty Burger, Bon Me, and Arancini Brothers.

For those fans cruisin’ for some boozin’, Samual Adams is once again the official beer of Boston Calling, providing a variety of craft beers and ciders. In addition, Danish brewer Mikkeller has created a custom Boston Calling Beer that will only be available this May. Wine Riot will be bringing a selection of wines to Boston Calling, including Lila Wines by 90+ Cellars, Merino, J. Lohr Estates, Westport Rivers Winery, and Wicked Wines.

Boston Calling takes place from Friday May 27 through Sunday May 29. Single day, two day, and three day passes are on sale and can be purchased here.
