Two Semesters Later

This piece was inspired by an article that ran in the New York Times in April 2014. The idea is simple: college is a time of transformations, and there is no year more volatile, more change inducing, than a student’s freshman year. We photographed twelve freshmen in September, and talked to them about expectations for the year. They came back nine months later for a second picture during the last week of classes in May. Girlfriends were acquired. Hair was cut.
