Obama has been finally projected to have the necessary 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidential election, according to NBC News and Fox News, thanks in big part to a projected win in Ohio. Obama is the projected winner in the battleground states of New Hampshire, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Pennsylvania. All major new sources are now saying he won.
Despite close polls in the weeks leading up to the election, Romney was not able to overcome Obama's advantage in the Electoral College. Obama didn't even need the all-important state of Florida. Despite a close race in Florida, Obama was able to hold almost all of the states he won in 2008.
